Hey guys and gals. I've been mostly paleo primal for approximately 6 weeks with great success. Down 18 lbs.

I've started to tweak and perfect my eating but I'm still not sure if I'm getting enough fat. Right now my daily is roughly....

Protein: 160-170g

Fat: 80-90g

Weight: 200lbs

Bf: between 15-18%

My meals right now are generally.

Breakfast:

4oz sausage

2 cage free eggs in organic butter

Veggies mixed in

Lunch:

12oz of a mix of grassfed beef and 96% lean ground beef

Taco Salad (tomato, lettuce, jalapeno)

2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil

2 caps triple strength fish oil

Snack:

1 serving sunflower seeds

Dinner:

10-12oz 93/7 ground turkey or chicken breast

Veggies roasted in olive oil

2 caps fish oil

I don't count calories or carbs. I eat when I'm hungry, If I'm hungry I haven't had enough food, I eat. I have to keep it simple. I lost 30 pounds in 5 months and got really dramatic weight loss like yours in the first few weeks. Keep it up, remember, stressing over intake is counterproductive. You have a very priveleged diet! Enjoy!

Thanks for the answer! Right now I'm aiming for fat loss. I'm not trying to be low cal but even with pounding almost 2.5 lbs of meat I'm feeling full and great. I also usually eat half a hass avocado with breakfast. I'd like to get some more fat for the reasons of not being low cal but how many tablespoons of evoo can one man consume a I'm not positive on my carb intake but I literally get no carbs except from sunflower seess seeds and veggies which is generally a full hearts of romaine head of lettuce, half zuccini, half green pepper, half red pepper, half large Roma tomato

It's hard to say, because there's no single specific target when it comes to macros. What macro ratio are you going for? More importantly, what are your overall goals? Fat loss? Weight loss? Caloric restriction? Figure that out and use something like Cronometer to track it.

That being said, MDA recommends 0.7-1 grams of protein per 1 pound of lean body mass. If you're 200 pounds with 15% body fat, your LBM is 170#, so you'd be at the higher end of your recommended protein intake.

How many grams of carbs do you think you consume per day? The fat and protein portions of your diet come out to around 1400 kC. That's extremely low for someone of your size. Are you compensating with hidden carbs? If not, here's a word of warning: Don't bother with excessive caloric restriction, even if you're trying to lose weight.
