There should be a break once in a while, don't disagree.

So there should never be a break in the fast? I think that's called STARVATION.

See that search box in the upper right corner? Breakfast is one of the most popular questions on PH. There are a ton of questions about breakfast already.

How about leftovers from the previous night's Paleo dinner?

breakfast is my favorite meal and my largest. i move around a lot at my job and lift things and generally burn a lot of energy, so i need to eat enough to last me until my break at work. maybe you don't need such a substantial meal in the morning, but don't let anyone here make you feel like you shouldn't be eating in the morning just because they don't. food is fuel, and if you're going on empty, don't be afraid to eat a good breakfast.

i have coffee with coconut oil, every morning. i drink far too much coffee.

my go-to meal is eggs scrambled with a generous handful of greens and whatever meat/veggies i happen to have (red pepper, broccoli, prosciutto are favorites), seasoned with garlic and turmeric (anti-inflammatory and an immune system booster) when i have it. if i'm really hungry, which i usually am in the morning, i'll have a piece of fruit with that: half a grapefruit, a small apple, or banana with cinnamon (boots metabolism) and flax seed.

if i've made nut butter and there is miraculously some leftover, i'll have that with a banana and either a boiled egg or a mixed green salad with coconut oil and a runny fried egg over it. salad for breakfast with warm gooey egg yolk is super delicious and filling.

for mornings when i have a little bit of extra time or i'm feeling fancy, i like to try variations on paleo pancakes. last week i blended one whole carrot with some coconut flour and flax seed (mixed with an egg and baking powder, coconut oil, cinnamon, grated fresh ginger) and had that with a tiny bit of honey/coconut oil mixture for "syrup."

sometimes i mash up a banana or cut up apple chunks and mix that with canned pumpkin, throw in some nuts, ground flax, chia seeds, shredded coconut, cinnamon, etc., and make a weird version of muesli. also with boiled eggs, or any leftover meat, really, for protein to avoid using too many nuts.

Currently, my go to is mixed baby greens(spinach, chard, etc...)sauteed in plenty of grass fed butter(Kerrygold) scrambled into 3 pastured eggs(spiced with salt, pepper, turmeric, and cheyenne) topped with some hot sauce. Sometimes I'll cook up a few strips of bacon with the eggs. Or, I'll go with some mixed berries(blackberries, blueberries, or strawberries) mixed in to some full fat Greek yogurt, with a little bit of honey.

HECK YES! I love breakfast and am always trying something new for it. My favorite lately has been MAPLE BLUEBERRY BACON BREAKFAST CARNITAS w/ FRIED EGG.

I adapted the recipe originally posted by PaleOMG here.

And, of course, one cannot leave the house or work in the house without coffee. I tried a treat this week: Bulletproof Coffee. I highly suggest it as a treat every once in awhile. Perfect of a latte lover.

We switch back and forth in my household between eggs with some sort of meat, or fruit and almond butter. Almond flour pancakes on the weekends. :)

You should try Coconut Oil in your coffee (if you drink coffee). It will give you INSANE amount of energy. I usually eat 2 eggs, left over meat from the night before, and the coffee. Thay way you get your protein and good fats.
