I have had been dizzy for the past month, and through a check-up exam it was determined that I had low blood oxygen and a rapid heartbeat. I have intestinal problems, but have been eating paleo for the past year. I'm a 19 year old male 154 pounds.

What could be causing low blood oxygen?

Hmm may be a malabsorption issue, having it looked into.

I eat a pretty varied Paleo diet so I'm quite suprised. He thinks the cause is being off of my anxiety medication. What do you think? should I get back on?

What did the doctor tell you when you had the exam? I was diagnosed with Anemia (mild) many years ago. At the time the Doctor told me to go to the steak house and eat some prime rib and then drink off the jus from the plate. I loved that doctor! Old fashioned and right on. With Paleo you should not have the issue from a lack of iron if you are eating meat and leafy green veggies, so I'd consider some of the other causes, which you can find easily on the web. Get back with the doctor as I don't think Paleo is the issue at all.

The most frequent reason is lack of iron, otherwise lack of some vitamins (B mostly), or it may be other more severe conditions. I suggest you get some vitamins+iron supplement for about two weeks, and if it doesn't improve things, go see a doctor.
