I presume you mean other than or in addition to exercise? Try high altitudes.

Acclimating to high altitude, and once that's done, training by doing lots of hiking/walking and some sprinting. I lived in Denver and Albuquerque for much of my life, and you have to ease in to it. I made the mistake of trying to play flag football the first week I moved back to Denver from El Paso...not good. I really needed time to ramp up and 1 week was insufficient.
