Is Over-Feeding a Bad Idea?

Commented on May 11, 2012

I've been thinking about this a lot because I noticed I get really vulnerable to disease whenever I eat less than 2000kcal.

Matt Stone seems to be fond of it too...

Are there any benefits, or downsides, linked to over-feeding?

No I do get hungry Joy, but I've been eating way less fat lately, so my food volume has to go up but I'm not used to it.

What sorts of sickness do you get? Do you not get hungry on days you eat less because you are so focused on school work?

Korion, I assumed that you meant eating less that 2000k per day over a longer period of time because you said you get vulnerable to disease. How many days of eating under 2000k does it take to get vulnerable to disease for you?

I believe matt stone likes it but internet is slow so i cant get any references.

I don't feel like watching the video, but my coach (a phd in nutrition science) recently told me that eating a paleo diet you should do the ammount of calories to eat by taking your goal weight and x by 15. So for a goal of 130lbs i would eat 1950 calories. So why do you eat less than 2000? Is it because on all websites it says that in the calorie calculation? I believed it until recently.

Korion, this is SICK!!! I beg you - do not eat eggs with shell! They might scratch your digestive track! First of all, raw eggs might have salmonella. Secondly, you need to grind the shell. Just look at the guy - hes is like a weirdo - he will eat ANYTHING just to make a video on Youtube. As for your 2,000 kcalories - it is not about the calories, it is about your food nutritional balance.

How did that video lead you to this idea, much less any form of coherent thought?
