Superhuman diet and lifestyle

What are your thoughts on using hacking diet and other lifestyle components (such as sleep and exercise) as a means to "upgrade" yourself? What type is diet is best to optimize energy, mood, and mental performance? Note that I am not an athlete and am more concerned with raising my ability to focus as well as maintain high energy levels. So the question is, what to eat and when? Is Bullet Proof Coffee the key to accomplishing my goals as many suggest or could this be a dangerous habit?

If this were a forum I'd post a picture of cocaine bear right about now.

Oh, I see....your wondering about this http://www.bulletproofexec.com/. I like his site, but its really just paleo plus some body hacks for sleep and mental clarity. Experiment and see what works for you. Just keep a log so you can make as objective comparisons as possible.

Paleo's purpose is to optimize health. If you're looking for "superpowers" and super high energy, then cocaine is probably your answer.

I don't understand how this is any different the goals of any "paleo" type diet: to eat in a way that optimizes the nutrients your body gets from food while minimizing the toxins so you can feel good and perform at your best. Adding the word "superhuman" to me seems to imply some sort of magic which is perhaps misleading.

I have drank the bulletproof coffee (not the branded coffee per se, just added kerrygold, coconut oil or full fat coconut milk to coffee on my fasting days) Seemed to keep me going

I am very interested in this as well. I've been looking for more biohackers as of late, Tim Ferriss, Jack Kruse, Dave Asprey, even the Raw Brahs and whatnot. I am a frim believer that with the right knowledge and nutritional know how we can improve all factors of our life, energy levels, strength levels, mental focus, memory, libido, and longevity.

So to answer your question my thoughts are "Yes I think hacking diet and lifestyle components can lead to very impressive gains in physical appearance, performance and mental capabilities.

I recently began drinking bulletproof coffee and really love it! It really does help with energy and is currently helping me get through finals week in college. I think it is good to try if you can guarantee that it is something you won't become dependent on. As much as I like it's benefits, it's not something I need everyday.

Hope this sort of answers your question!
