Almond butter vs. sun butter: which more nutritious?

I know they both have alot of O6, but I LOVE either of these as a treat with a banana. So which is better nutritionally?

I meant the latter, but that's important to stress -- raw is available for both.

You can get raw almond butter, or were you just meaning that nutritional info would be based on roasted?

Maybe someone else will jump in with the stats on omega 6's or vitamin E. Personally, I make my own almond butter and sometimes add in a bit of coconut oil to make it extra creamy - it's delicious too. I've also tried pumpkin seed butter, which is tasty and a good source of magnesium.

You could mix with a good coconut oil to alter the ratio somewhat.

I love the taste of almond butter so much more, but otherwise they seem very similar. I woul limit both in favor of munching on real food.

Here's the science dish on their fatty acid profiles - http://www.ars.usda.gov/SP2UserFiles/Place/12354500/Articles/ADA10_SunflowerAlmondButter.pdf

... it looks like sunflower seed butter has more MUFAs than almond butter.

You're probably really splitting hairs at this point, but sunflower seed butter might win out by a margin.

... of course, both are undoubtedly roasted, which really begs the question how rancid the PUFAs have become in either.
