Where can I Order Lab for Omega six/Three indexes?

What would be the best place to order a lab test for Omega 3/6 indexes? Mind you, I don't think you can draw your own blood in California (where I live), so it would have to be either a saliva test (are those reliable) or drawn by a phlebotomist. Obviously I am looking for a reliable test at the best price. Thanks.

I have done the following for one person. You order the test and have it sent to me in Arizona. I turn around and send you the testing kit and you do the test and send it in. Then you get the results on the internet...or I get the results and I put it in another envelope and send it on to you. A little hassle but it can be done. See my profile for contact if you want to do this.

That should be helpful for other people, so thanks. Unfortunately, in California we can't do Home Blood tests without a doctor's order.

go to omegaquant or nutrasource diagnostics. they do at home tests, are fast, validated and offer a good value.

metametrix was fast and offer an at home test but results are way off.

Try a couple out and check out the various results. Look specifically at SDA (steradonic acid) if it is much over .05%, the test sucks. SDA is converted almost immediately and levels should be near zero.

A friend showed me her Lipid Technologies results and they were the craziest I've ever seen. SDA levels over 2%? Yeah right... plus I tried to call and order and never got a call or anything.

Other big labs charge big shipping fees, take forever to get results back and results are less than impressive

Metametrix is where you want to go for an AA to omega 3 ratio test. All you need is a finger prick test that you send to them, and they send you the results in the mail. Here is the link: http://www.metametrix.com/test-menu/profiles/fatty-acids/aaepa-ratio

Dr Davis at https://shop.trackyourplaque.com/Category/1/Home_Blood_Tests.aspx has home blood slot testing kits.

"There's 3 main labs--Genesmart, Omegaquant, and a new one from Doug Bibus (sp?)"

They all appear to be roughly equal in price and quality. I think you have to get a blood test, because it measures red blood cell membrane fatty acids.
