What's the Best Fish Free Nut Free Omega-3 Source?

So I've got an omega-3 concern here. I am allergic to fish (only fin fish like mackerel, not shellfish like shrimp) AND tree nuts. So no omega-3's from walnuts or fish on my plate.

Now I've read other posts on here and some say eat seeds, some say Krill oil, some say just eat grassfed meat. It's making my head spin!

I already eat grassfed meat and organic eggs from a local farm, so do I need to supplement for those Omega-3's that everyone else is getting from fish and nuts, or am I probably ok here?

If I should be supplementing, what's the best source?

Coconut oil is high in saturated fats...not PUFA's, such as omega-3.

I haven't tried any personally but have heard good reviews of this one (http://goo.gl/CJCQc). The amount you should take really depends on your past and current diet. I believe 1-2 a day would be a good start for most people.

DHA from algae is your best bet. It can be found as a supplement.

There is debate whether or not coconut is considered a "nut oil" or a "palm oil" but if you aren't allergic to coconut, it has a high content of omega 3. It's also one of the best oils out there because it doesn't oxidize very easily like most oils. Even better than coconut oil is MCT oil which is derived from coconut oil but is 6x stronger and has no flavor.

You can get MCT oil here: http://www.upgradedself.com/upgraded-mct-oil.html?a_aid=50fece0122f67&a_bid=f608e97d&chan=code37&a_bid=9da2c213&chan=code3
