hi there, i bought these cod roe:

http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/sainsburys-price-comparison/tinned_fish/john_west_cod_soft_roes_100g.html

having never eaten them before, i literally haven't a clue what to do with them? whether i have to even cook them first or not? they are unsmoked, so not sure i could make taramasalata...

just for info, i don't eat dairy, other than that please may you offer me some recipes?

p.s. why are these seen as a beneficial food?

there's no need to be snarky ..! i am not very science minded in the slightest, and was hoping that someone would be able to tell me why it is beneficial in a few simple words.

there's a really neat tool for questions like this. It's called google.... Try it out sometime. ( http://lmgtfy.com/?q=paleo+roe+recipes&l=1 | http://lmgtfy.com/?q=health+benefits+of+cod+roe&l=1 )
