Daily Omega-3

I currently take a multivitamin and a 1200mg Fish Oil (360mg omega-3) every morning. I recently started Paleo and I've been eating a big salad every day for lunch. I use a homemade balsamic vinaigrette, which has a good amount of olive oil (source of omega-3). Should I stop taking the fish oil in the morning?

Not practical? I buy cans of sardines in olive oil for $1.28 each and drop them in my salad. Or smoked herring for $1.38. Doesn't get more practical than that. Besides you don't have to eat fish everyday. A few times a week does the trick.

I'm not opposed to eating fish with my salad, but it's not very practical for me on an everyday basis. I usually add leftover chicken/beef for my protein.

I'm not against taking the fish oil in the morning even though it might not exactly be Paleo. I just want to make sure I'm getting enough omega-3's if I don't take it.

I usually take an Omega on days when I'm consuming pork or chicken. If I am eating Salmon or Grass Fed Beef I skip it. Generally the Paleo diet is so much more balanced towards a good ratio of fats that we don't need to worry like the general SAD eaters should. They have wacky over ingestion of Omegas balanced in the wrong way. Those poor bastards.

Well, they are not technically the same kind of Omega-3. However, may I suggest eating fish? Unless you have an aversion to it, it is preferable to eat some fish with your salad in order to add not only Omega-3 but also a substantial amount of vitamins, minerals, and some protein.
