A New Yorker can't get an omega blood test?

After searching home test kits, most sites say it is against NY law for home blood test kits to be sent to NY residents. I have also checked local diagnostic labs and they don't carry omega/fatty acid blood tests (I'm specifically looking for ones that have a good breakdown of EPA, DHA, and especially AA content) Any NY'ers out there get tested in NY?

hi CMJ, I started having bad side effects with FCLO, but have responded well with Borage Oil and am a bit puzzled, Ian's answer on this question got me thinking: http://paleohacks.com/questions/26541/anyone-else-ditching-the-fish-oils/168007#168007

Is there a reason why you are seeking self-testing of blood fatty acids? Fatty acid blood tests are not indicated for the diagnosing of any diseases. Consider seeing a doctor for a medical issue that may have prompted you to do this. Fish oil has been shown to possibly benefit cardiovascular disease risks by raising good cholesterol levels. Testing blood serum omega fatty acids will only indicate the amount of circulating fatty acids within an approximately 24 hour period.
