Anyone have a recipe for LIRKO mouse jam?

After taking Peter's quiz and scoring 100%, I've made some jam according to the instructions. I know it's not paleo, but what can I make with this stuff?

Ah well, I was going for funny. I wonder why it would piss someone off enough to downvote (and not comment on why). Life is too short and meaningless to worry about it.

The LIRKO mouse urine jam thing would be funny, but that post was an example of where Peter let his sarcasm and humor get in the way of some basics. If you're going to analyze the LIRKO mouse as a vet with the background and education to understand the physiology, I think you owe it to your readers to do an honest and thorough assessment. It doesn't take much to check if there has already been scientific inquiry into some of your speculation. In that he failed with the previous LIRKO posts, from which the claims in this new whimsical quiz were formulated.

The LIRKO mouse does not suffer from glucosuria. That requires the injection of a beta-cell killing toxin. As for glucose uptake by the muscle cells? Investigated in the very paper he referenced when first discussing LIRKO. Overall the post seemed to serve but one purpose. He probably should have double checked his brilliant analysis before going down that path.

My blog post on this fiasco: http://carbsanity.blogspot.com/2011/11/bloggo-science-lirko-wars-edition.html

If one wants to make jam from a LIRKO mouse, their best bet would be to sac 'em young about a half hour after a good feeding and make the jam from the blood. As a bonus, it will resemble jam more than anything one might be able to make from LIRKO urine.

You don't want this. Mouse jam is not paleo. Jam has too much sugar and mice eat garbage and grains. They are not grass-fed.
