Did you find a paleo-friendly doc? I am ALSO having to accept my NYC residency, and I have been looking for a regular physician. PaleoDocs seems to mainly be geared towards nutritionists and psychologists!

You can't PM a user but I'd be interested in knowing the doc. My dentist has this "old fashioned" approach. He sees only one person for their full time, and if they need more time, they get it...

I guess I only have a minor qualm over sticking a guy's name out there on a public forum. After all this is full-on praise. Breite on 82nd between Broadway and Amsterdam. He'll be easy to find on the net.

Bumping this thread!

It's time for me to realize that I'm a true NYC resident (coming up on 2 years in June). So I need a regular doctor and a dentist...

Any specific referrals?

Mark @ Mark's Daily Apple posted this site. It's a network of Paleo Physicians.

Hope that helps!

RSB. I'd love to hear it. I couldn't figure out how to IM but if you can tell me how to find him that would be great. I will give you my email or something if you don't want to post his name. Thanks, BW

I go to one. He's not exactly running down the avenue waving a "Go Paleo" flag but he is quite supportive of me doing it. Not a word of skepticism. He even got online looking at Paleo recipes while we were talking about it--during an office visit.

The main thing with him is that he is never in a rush. I hate it when a Dr. seems to be trying to deal with 3 patients in different rooms at the same time. Definitely a good guy. He's an internist specializing in G.I.

I don't know if I should post his name on this board in public so if anyone wants to advise me as to whether or not this is within bounds of protocol let me know or you can PM me (actually, I'm not sure you can even do that on this board).
