Need a mixed nuts recommendation

What do you all think of these nuts? The oil used isn't great but is the oil from peanuts substantially worse than other vegetable oils? It's got to be better than whole peanuts, right? How much of this oil do you think there is in these packs? Can you all suggest a better alternative that's not prohibitively expensive (Amazon preferred)? The more types of nuts the better but I have special preference for Mac nuts.

They sell mac nuts on the site. You may need to buy them seperate and then add them in.

  • Buy separate bags of raw nuts in varieties that you like. Example: 1-Brazil 1-Almond 1-Macadamia nut, et al.
  • Open each bag
  • Take a glass jar that has a tight fitting lid
  • Unscrew the lid
  • Add layers of each variety - adding seasoning if you so desire
  • Give the jar a few gentle rolls back and forth

You now have a custom mix of nuts that you know exactly the ingredients of and saved yourself some dough to boot.

Raw mixed nuts would be a better choice:

TJ's has some decent mixes that aren't very expensive. Just have to look for the ones without peanuts.
