Injury Recovery

I'm about 1 1/2 weeks post injury. Took a bad fall during an outdoor activity. Lots of bruises along one side, some swelling in neck and lumbar region. Strained muscles. Had everything checked out by the doctor and nothing seemed to be broken and no imaging was recommended at this time. Still not able to lift more than 5 pounds or so without opposite hand assist. Leg still dragging a little although much improved. A week ago I was able to walk slowly through the pool for 1/2 hour or so, but was taking a 1-2 hour nap in the afternoons. Today I was able to do a one hour workout on bike, elliptical, and treadmill and even get in target heart range. Still fatigued early evening.

Have gained some weight in the past week. Not lots. About 4 pounds. Feeling like I need the more carbs though. Is this a normal feeling? What is recommended for tissue repair, especially when there has been damage to soft tissue?
