So carbs are the only food that makes me feel full, i dont find protein particuarly satitating despite the claims that it is, ive been known to eat like half a chicken at once. The only foods that keep me satiated are carbs like potatoes and some fats like cacao, but not most fats even.
Why are carbs bad if theyre the only foods that make me satiated?
I've found if i cut out wholefood carbs ill just binge on junk later on in the day!

Carbs are not bad. Eat real foods that work for you. Ignore the dogma (including vegan dogma like Valeriebrown's). Paleo doesn't have to be low carb.

It could be an overactive thyroid, or, if you are female, oestrogen dominance. You may also need more carbs if you are physically active.

Carbs are not bad! This is a myth! Every single cell in our bodies runs on the glucose found in carbohydrates. We need them for energy, so it makes sense that they are the only macro nutrient you find to be satisfying. Your body wants carbohydrates because it can easily break them down and turn them into energy. Please never restrict your carbs. In fact, i suggest going on a high carb vegan diet full of fruits, pasta, breads, potatoes, rice, and veggies! You'll be very energized and it will help save you from risks associated with consuming animal proteins and fats (diabetes, cancer, heart disease, Alzheimers, arthritis)

Giving you a helpful answer may depend on knowing more about what you're describing. What exactly you mean by carbs are the only thing that make you "feel full." Do you mean you are distracted by hunger if you don't get carbs or do you think about a specific food? What happens to you if you, for example, avoid carbs all day?

A convenient hack is to take Vitamin C or collagen supplements. They satiate your hunger hormones. Vitamin C is used to make collagen when combined with amino acids, so pick whichever floats your boat.

Eat that half chicken with all the fat, and some potatoes also. It is fat and fermentable fiber that give the most satiety. you can't come here every day every time you have a passing impression. start studying these things on your own.

When your body is not used the protein it takes some time for your body to adjust. Your body needs to detox. Make sure you drink plenty of water to get the toxins out of your body. Protein doesn't seem as satisfying right now but give it time. Eat things high in protein such as avocados, eggs, steak, pork chops, tuna, halibut and salmon. When you are eating these foods, have a side with them such as asparagus, spinich, broccoli, kale, chard, arugula, or artichoke. Pretty much any vegetables except lintels. Eat as much as you like! Eat dinner, if you are hungry 30 minutes later then have a snack. Apple slices dipped in almond butter, or carrots, or lettuce with carrots, dried cranberries, cubbed ham, sunflower seeds and your favorite dressing. There are good carbs and bad carbs. Bad carbs are made up of sugar and our bodies break it down but use it up very quickly then we crash. It does take time, how long have you been trying the paleo diet?
