Almond butter is awesome, but I'm still guilty of buying organic peanut butter when I want it. Shhh! Don't tell!

I'm in N=1 land again and have eliminated nuts but my jam was most definitely almond butter.

I've never had hazelnut butter in my life but want to try it now that you mention it! Where have you all purchased it from?

I am not the biggest fan of almond butter... I still prefer peanut butter :)

If I can have cocoa in it, then, quality hazelnut butter (not sugarbomb Nutella. Used to love it but, we've gone our separate ways).

Otherwise, I think I'd have to go with almond!

Just starting in with paleo and no expert but I love hazelnuts and almond/hazelnut butter is yummy...so much conflicting info out there...omega3 vs omega 6 , phytic acid and anti-nutirents in various nuts, my head is spinning...it's all making me begin to want to just chuck it all and go for a yummy almond croissant made with OMG! wheat flour.

Hate hazelnuts. Almond butter all the way.

Roasting hazelnuts gives them the texture and taste of popcorn. Sometimes I eat them that way. Other times I love to roast them, take the skins off and whiz them in the food processor with a little honey. Amazing roasted hazelnut butter. Making your own is 10000x better than store bought hazelnut butter.

Making my own almond butter on the other hand.. is never as good as I buy from the store. <3 crunchy raw almond butter from Trader joes.

Hazelnut-anything is a winner in my book. Love to cover them in dark chocolate.

I don't think I've ever had hazelnut butter that wasn't nutella - which I loved as a pre-paleo lad. Almond butter is very good, Macadamia butter is better - but runny.

we still have a bag of raw, soaked, dehydrated hazelnuts in our freezer. they taste too much like dirt. only the aftertaste brings some hazelnut yummyness but they aren't really that great in my opinion.

almond butter is great, but the most flavorful, by far, is pecan butter. yah it's got a little more poly, but it's a better overall choice than peanut butter for sure.

Almond. Hazelnut reminds me too much of Amaretto liqueur, which I hate, as well as the super-sweet, low-quality-chocolate Ferrero Rocher and Nutella.
