NorCal Margarita

Below is the instructions / ingredients for the NorCal Margarita. My question is what brand of soda water do you peeps use for this refreshing drink.

I am confused between club soda, and or soda water.

NorCal Margarita: Ingredients

2 to 3 shots of tequila juice of 1 lime ice top it off with soda water

Club soda and soda water are the same thing. As is "sparkling water." What you DON'T want is tonic water.

You're gonna want to pick a brand that has a "bubble size" that you enjoy. I'm sure there is a technical term for this, but whatever. For example, San Pellegrino has tiny, very fine bubbles, probably because they are naturally present in the water. There are also probably a few minerals in there, so that's a plus. But it's expensive. Perrier has bigger bubbles, in my opinion. A grocery store/cheaper brand might have bigger and fewer bubbles. It's all a preference thing.

You can also get a soda stream and make your own sparkling water at home.

I use Pellegrino -- more expensive yes but since I very rarely drink it doesn't make a difference to me.

I tried one of these with grapefruit juice instead of lime and I thought it was pretty tasty. Lemon also works.
