How can I heal my gut if I can't consume bone broth?

- I am sensitive to MSG. Gelatin, L-Glutamine, and Bone Broth render me semi-incompetent haha

Very. I steered clear of MSG as labeled anyways but I had no idea what kind of things your body can react to that's similar. L-Glutamine, Gelatin, etc. My brain fog is gone now but I'm more so worried about my Gut.

Can't have it. I was taking daily doses. It was contributing to some of the worst Brain Fog I've ever had.

Amazing so many have MSG sensitivities… considering it's never been shown in studies.

Some people take reasonably high doses of l-glutamine. That supposedly helps.

@raydawg Thanks! My Nutritionist informed me of my MSG sensitivity. Only thing is she doesn't know much about gut healing besides getting rid of allergens. Unfortunately my Husband and I simply cannot afford for me to see a Holistic/ Functional practitioner. I am stuck with Military doctors and reaching out to as many people as I can for help. I only do what I see fit and I know my body and what it needs mostly. =)

Remove all exposure to grains and other sources of gluten. Remove all exposure to casein, eat a very strict autoimmune paleo diet for a long time. (i.e., no eggs, no nightshades, no grains, no dairy - not even butter, no industrial seed oils, no legumes, especially soy, no peanuts, no artificial ingredients of any sort.)

Incase you get exposed, you could take an activated charcoal capsule - it won't get rid of all the allergens, but it may get rid of some of the load. You can also counter the effects of MSG or other glutamates on the nervous system with GABA - which will work as long as you have a leaky gut/blood brain barrier.

Both the gut lining and blood brain barrier are made of similar cells, so if you have one, it's likely you have the other, and if you take a GABA pill and it has a calming effect, then you know you have a leaky gut.

You should see a doctor or health practicioner about this rather than self-treat or just do what you read on the internet, they can prescribe LDN (low dose naltrexone) which may be appropriate in your situation, and they can get you the right allergy panels.

It sounds like you fall into the small category of people who have a cross reactivity between L-Glutamine and MSG as mentioned here:
