Could it be that it contains neurotoxins?: http://www.naturalnews.com/026244_food_MSG_neurotoxins.html

Not all addictive substances are excitotoxins. Sugar is very addictive for example.

Thank you for enlightening me. So the addictive nature of toxins is all about excitotoxicity?

MSG and aspertame are both excito-toxins, both are addictive and are potent nerve cell killers. You get addicted to the energy they provide, but that energy doesn't allow the nerve cell to rest, expending all its energy until it dies. The food industry is brilliant at coming up with new sources of MSG that don't have to be labeled as MSG such as "vegetable extract" that's really yeast extract or wheat, or barley malt extract, so there's tons of things to look out for in the ingredient list because they actively try to fool consumers. Best thing is to opt out and vote with your dollars.

Can you tell us what the ingredient list says on that tea? It could be anything.

Is that article claiming that gelatin is neurotoxic, or that there are chemicals that are allowed to be called gelatin that are neurotoxic?

Green tea contains caffeine and tastes delicious. Could that be why?

That's a really retarded article. Note that the list of "neurotoxins" contains all spices and all seasonings in general. The Japanese eat tons of MSG both via seaweed and via adding it to their food. They don't seem to be dropping dead in large numbers...

...and, of course, addiction == neurotoxins is not true. I bet you're addicted to food, for example.
