Scary stuff happening to me! Any thoughts??

So I have been paleo for the past couple years and for the most part its been really good. I reversed PCOS and had been feeling good. I am 21 years old and female. Up until recently Ive been super active. My only health problem is chronic idiopathic constipation (since I was 17) which I take Milk of Magnesia for pretty much daily. A couple weeks ago I started having some scary neurological symptoms. I have constant tingling in my hands and feet and this gets worse with physical activity, and becomes stabbing prickly pain. This did start around the time I had a virus. Its 24/7 and is truly quite hard to deal with. I have been tested for hypothyroidism and vitamin deficencies (except for D). I have chronically low ferretin at 18. This is driving me mad. The tingling goes up my arms and legs and I just have the strangest sensations. I am also more tired than usual and I miss my usual physical activity. I bike but it causes my crazy prickling. Any thoughts?

It could be a vitamin D deficiency.  I had that reaction before and took magnesium and Vitamin D (after being diagnosed as Vitamin D deficient) and it cleared that up pretty fast!

Also have your thyroids checked as that can cause peripheral neuropathy in some cases.

This is most definitely something neurological, but the causes could be very different.

You have to visit a neurologist, a gastroenterologist, and an endocrynologist since the causes vary. I would not just leave it as it is, since it is a definite symptom. If you have an opportunity, get a brain MRI scan.

Low ferritin could be a sign of SIBO.

For constipation eat beets every day or have some raw saukraut juice. Beets work so well that you might start taking them every day, they are harmless. Actually, they are good for you. Also you can have figs, they will get you moving.

Constipation could be a sign of SIBO as well.

No matter what you do, a very strict adherence to Paleo diet will help you.  Eat more and eat the right stuff.

If your B12 checks out OK, it's time to see a neurologist.

Have you been tested for B12 deficiency? Because your symptoms make me think about that. The tingling and the anemia.

Anyone can get deficient in B12, not only vegans, so go check with your doctor about that.

Yeah, I was tested. Unfortunatley my B12 is good. Haha.
