How many people here take supplements/medication? How many are all natural?

How many people are on nothing? No meds, no supplements, no nothing that is processed in the least bit. And do you find you feel better with all natural things in the diet, or do you feel better with some man processed medication/supplements?

I have heard of this before. The thought of drinking ACV is kind of scary!

Hi emily, I've noticed a good reduction in allergies since following a mostly Paleo diet. You could also try some raw apple cider vinegar internally daily. I have no idea if it's "paleo" or not nor do I really care as it's helped immensely with a lot of my skin/allergy issues. Just drop a shot or two in some water (I mix mine in a 1l bottle) and sip away!

FYI nutrients aren't man made, the words used to describe real things are.

...you mean all nutrients necessary to be optimal? Nutrients is a man made word that doesn't really exist. It's more a scam to make you buy things than anything real. What is real is how you feel from how you eat. I can trust that more than if I'm "scientifically" getting enough "nutrients." Pshh, Cliff.

You take a daily med for chronic pain too? Ack, we have to talk! I have a selfish interest in opiods, diet, and anything chronic pain related...http://paleohacks.com/questions/28181/paleo-and-pain-which-issues-are-you-interested-in-nightshades-bone-broths-pu#axzz1bHbaU5se

I take birth control and also a daily med for chronic pain. I'm hoping that the longer I'm doing paleo I can get off the pain stuff. That's my goal anyway! :) As for supplements, since going paleo I stopped taking a lot of what I had been. Now I'm only supplementing with fish oil, 5-htp for depression and then calcium/magnesium.

Aside from the occasional aspirin and topical vitamen E I'm all natural, no soap, no shampoo, brush my teeth with salt, occasinally I'll wash with some sodium bicarbonate usually on the feet and face and wipe with seashells.

I don't take any supplements, but I never have, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

I do occasionally take Advil for recurring headaches. I'm in the process of logging food/triggers/weather/etc. to try and figure out the cause of said headaches. I have taken Advil so consistently before that it actually caused rebound headaches, so I only take it when absolutely necessary (necessary from my viewpoint anyway).

I recently (2 months ago) stopped using hormonal BC. Almost immediately I noticed an increase in sex drive. Unfortunately, I've had other less-desired side-effects as well (heavier bleeding, more intense cramping, lower back pain, and a few crazy mood swings). I'm hoping that over time my hormones adjust and some of the bad effects dissipate. Even if they don't, I'm glad I'm no longer screwing up my hormone levels on purpose. 8)

whoever posted this question is a genius. Why don't more people post the crucial questions that actually matter and help us move forward about how health really does matter. Anyway, I'm on nothing but just meat, veggies, and fruit. No meds, no supplements, no coffee. It's a good feeling knowing what you are with minimal amounts of stuff going into your body. Gives you a sense of who, and what you really are, and helps you with everything!

I take one prescription pill and one Claritin daily. I'm hoping to need the Claritin less after getting things back in order. I do take a Rainbow Light womans vitamin daily, Vit D, and some fish oil when I remember to.

I don't take any medications and am not a big supplement person either, but I do take fermented cod liver oil (just 2 capsules per day). It does seem to help with my mood, but that could just be a placebo effect, I suppose.
