Does paleo diet help with Myopia?

I have myopia and a friend who is in an eye rehab program (Frauenfeld Clinic) says that his therapist suggests cutting out sugar and carbs. He's already progressing quickly (cut myopia in half) but he doesn't eat sugar/carbs anyway.

I'm addicted, don't see how I could cut it out completely. How important is it?

It usually helps only when the person is diabetic or when there's some physical pressure in the eyes because of inflammation etc. But if you're generally healthy and you just go Paleo, myopia will stay.

I went to the eye doctor recently and nothing has changed before or after I started eating real food. I'm in my 20's and the eye doctor says that eyesight tends not to change much during this period and after that it goes downhill...so maybe I wont deteriorate as quickly later in life?

This is my first time doing paleo and about 6 months doing it. It is also the first time I've gone to the eye doctor since I was 9 years old and my prescription hasn't changed. First time ever. It was very strange to me. I can't say for sure it was the paleo. It didn't get better, just didn't get worse.
