Lately, once a week or so I'll have a high carb meal. I'm mostly VLC and can stay VLC for months with no cramps. But three times now if the high carb meal is on a lift day I'll get a nasty cramp an hour or so after I eat. The first two times I thought it was coincidence, now I'm wondering what it is about the high carb meal that would trigger cramps. Twice it was hamstrings, once abs (things I'd worked that morning).
So, no cramps for the last 6 years or so other than the three above.
If I stay VLC I never cramp.
It only happens on lift days an hour or so after a high carb meal.
