I sear chicken or beef in the stuff and put it in the crock pot with lots of curry spices and coconut milk. And dried chili peppers.

I went to fresh market today and they had it for 2 for 6 so for a penny more I didnt have to go to an extra store.

In New England, Stop N Shop has it advertised at $2.50/8oz this week. Don't know the parent company's name, though.

Publix in Orlando area has it on sale right now also at 2/$7.00, I don't know if that's all Publix or just my area though. I paid $7.99 for a pack of 3 blocks at Costco last week.

Unfortunatley we do not have a Trader Joe's. I have Fresh Market, Whole foods, some wholesale clubs which i dont trade with any more and Publix.

I'd say we go through one 1/2 lb. package a week, if I had to make a rough average. Incidentally, at my Trader Joe's those packs are always $2.71, and that's the lowest for Kerrygold I've found anywhere (even vs. Sam's Club or Costco), so if you have a TJ's near you and decide that you like having Kerrygold in your diet, check out the price there, too.

The butter keeps for a long time plus you can freeze it if you want to. Lately I have been getting mine at Wegmans for $2.19 - I am not sure if this is a new low price or a temporary price cut but I am buying quite a bit each time I go and have a good stash working in the fridge and freezer. ;)

I've pretty much stopped using butter, not because of lack of deliciousness, just because I enjoy using bacon fat and red palm oil so much.

Incidentally, my Trader Joe's carries it at $2.69 as a matter of course...
