Did I beat the system? Ketosis made me pass my Drug Test?

I poked smot (for my autoimmune condition,) which is notoriously difficult to clear out of your system due to its affinity for fat cells. Whereas most hard/harmful drugs are out of your body in 72 hours max. Im in constant ketosis and I smoked only a few days before taking a piss test administered by my job. I thought for sure I'd fail, but everything came back negative LOL. I'm not planning on stopping smoking anytime soon. Is it possible ketosis clears stuff which adheres to fat cells at a much more rapid pace?

(I smoke a lot and frequently, used to be daily, several times a day.)

I agree that I shouldn't rely on it to pass the test, but I rely on it for medical reasons. I'm wondering if this was a one in a million lucky shot or if this result can be expected for most people on ketogenic diets. The drug test was a surprise, since the new job is recent and I didnt actually think they would drug test me this early but I was one of the few selected in the testing lottery.

That's actually really admirable since alcohol is really dangerous and alcoholism is common in my East European family so I abstain. I probably wouldn't smoke unless I felt that I was getting medical benefit from it. I've long healed my minor health issues through diet, but the only prescription medication I take gives me nausea. For nausea control theres nothing that beats marijuana as far as I know.

Too many variables to know for sure. But if you need this job, you may not want to rely on Ketosis to pass your test.

Being that THC is stored in fat, and ketosis is the means of burning fat, it is possible that you were able to speed the process along. I wouldn't count on ketosis or any of the popular snake oils out there to pass a drug test, though. You may have simply dropped your levels below the test threshold as there is some wiggle room.

It makes perfect sense to me. Not only are you cycling lots of fat through your body to carry the THC through your metabolism but you're fat adapted so your body is constantly burning and re-storing your own body fat, making it much more difficult for something like THC and other traces of marijuana to stay in your body.

I went and did a search and found another account that sounds similar to yours:

(I've never tried it myself...grew up very sheltered, had my first drink around age 32)
