Hack my dinner selections!

I'm going to a "meet your farmer" fundraiser for our buy fresh, buy local campaign. Here are the entree selections (all beef grass fed):

  1. Roasted Veal Roulade: wheat berries, mustard and beet greens over potato dauphines, Cada Dia cheddar

  2. Veal Brasato: Windy Acres veal, yellow foot mushrooms, herbed polenta

  3. Quinoa Meat loaf: Windy Acres beef, spiced onion compote

It's a mass dinner so I will have to eat around whatever's on my plate that I want to skip -- no easy or polite way to ask for modifications. I'm thinking that the Brasato might be the best? They all sound yummy, don't they?!?!?

For me the Veal Brasato seems to be the best choice, because you can easily set aside the polenta, whereas in the other dishes the quinoa and wheat berries are more integrated into the dishes. The cheese in the roulade may cause you some trouble as well.

If you're not terribly sensitive to wheat, the Veal Roulade might be a nice choice if you push aside the wheat berries. Potato and cheddar depend on where you fall in the paleo grey areas.

The Brasato definitely sounds like a good choice as well, excluding the polenta (a cornmeal dish).
