Red meat, espcecially bacon, linked to cancer and heart disease?

Seriously debunked study. See the link Michael posted below, which not only has good debunking discussion, but links off to serious debunk/rebuttal posts.

I'm going to school right now to become a nurse researcher. The biggest thing I've learned so far is how little a study actually tells you. This isn't discussing red meat consumption for health-seeking, physically active people eating a paleo diet. This is about red meat consumption combined with multiple confounding lifestyle factors like sedentary lifestyle and tobacco/alcohol abuse.

When they publish numerous studies saying that red meat consumption in healthy, active, vegetable-eaters increases risk of heart disease, then I will pay attention.
