As far as I can tell, just another "meat is the root of all evil" baseless argument. When he says "carnivores get alzheimers, herbivores don't" I don't know whether he is referring to captive animals or wild animals. If it is animals in captivity I would totally buy it, if only because they get even crappier meat by-products than humans consuming cows fed heavily on pestiside-laden cottonseed meal. Probably not so good for the brain. I would think it is more about what you're eating ate, than meat or no meat.

I changed the link to directly link to the doctor's arguments rather than Durianrider's website, which is not a good source of anything

It's funny... He's saying that because carnivores get Alzheimer's and herbivores do not, meat causes Alzheimer's. You could use similar logic to say, carnivores get Alzheimer's and herbivores do not, humans get Alzheimer's, therefore, humans are carnivores. Both statements are useless unless you use them as a basis for a study. The fact that he's using this silly shit to direct people towards a healthier diet is ridiculous. Srs, I have second hand embarrassment for this guy.

For this to be at all relevant... You would have to compare carnivores put herbivorous diets, herbivores put on carnivorous diets. And omnivores! Why does he not mention omnivores? Le sigh.

Did I miss the part where someone actually proved something using science?

There's no reason to read past the dig at Sally Fallon. Whatever that guy has to say is completely irrelevant, correct or not.

Q: Can avoiding meat prevent Alzheimer's?

Sure it could; don't eat meat and you won't live long enough to get Alzheimer's. :P
