Meat and Lethargy

I have a friend you recently turned vegan. Besides the facts about how dirty factory farming can be one of her main reasons was that she felt lethargic eating meat.

Is there any other explanations that would cause lethargy? Without asking her about every detail of how she ate I thought it would be easier to have some more direct questions of things that would also cause it.

Thanks.

  1. Is she feeling lethargic right after eating meat or throughout the day after eating meat?
I'm thinking digestion, fuller meat stomach versus a lighter vegetable stomach.
  2. Is she eating the same amount and type of vegetables as before along with meat, or has meat replaced some of these vegetables?
I'm thinking possibly nutritional changes and less carbohydrate.
  3. Is she now eating less carbohydrate than before?
I'm thinking possibly switching from glucose to fat primary fuel.

Cheap beef makes me sluggish. Grass fed beef doesn't. I have no idea why.
