Goat meat from local meat market.

Not a question but we were ordering a bundle of meat from our local butcher and happened to ask about goat, they said that they have it in stock and carry it as a standard item. It's local, pastured and grass fed; you can visit the farm if you'd like, it's less than 10 miles from town. I was pleasantly surprised that it was only $3.89 for ground goat (other cuts are also reasonable). Anyway, ask your local meat market if you're looking for something "exotic" ... you never know. Take care.

For restaurant use, I wouldn't doubt this. But considering how difficult it is to get goat in most US locales, the main source is often farmer's markets -- so not only US, but local! :-)

Most goat, however, is imported to the US.
