Placebo? Noticable effect few days after starting magnesium supplementation

When I start supplementing magnesium, I experience effects within a few days. This seems very fast as I would expect based on what I have read that it takes long to solve a deficiency. I experience better stress regulation, and after another few days there is even better regulation, and I am more calm. Is this placebo or could this be due to the mag?

Do you know why? I'd like comments on this! Does anyone have an idea why this may have happened? Maybe someone with more experience in the mechanisms involved?

When I started taken a mag supplement for my bowels. It did make me more calm and I had awesome sleeps for a month or so. After a month of taking it, magnesium started to do the opposite effects and now I can't take it before bed because I am wired! Maybe I was over doing the supplement? I no longer supplement magnesium now (solved my bowel problems; over doing the greens) Now once in a while I will has a glass of CALM (the magnesium supplement) before bed and Im wide awake again.

As there are different degrees of deficiency, it shouldnt be surprising that magnesium is working well for you after just a few days. As long as your bowels are good, keep at it; magnesium is quite the mineral.
