For the last few years, I've been suffering from symptoms of magnesium deficiency. I haven't been able to sleep more than 3 hours per night and experience frequent muscle twitches/spams.
I requested a magnesium RBC test and currently my levels are at 4.4 mg/dL. The reference range is 4.2-6.8.
I've been taking magnesium supplements for 4 months, so my magnesium levels must have been well below 4.2, which would indiciate a magnesium deficiency.
What is the optimum level? And what would be the best way to achieve it?
I'm taking 400 mg/day of Doctor's Best chelated magnesium, and recently started using Ancient minerals magnesium oil.
