Macadamia nuts - nutrient void?

Macadamia nuts are extremely expensive, and very caloric dense.. Do they contain any vitamins/minerals that I can't get elsewhere? In eggs, greens, berries etc?

I find most nuts I eat tend to bump up my B1 levels which as you're right is often below the RDA, the first things I think of to raise it are nuts or like you already said pork, also white potatoes aren't too shabby.

Never noticed that they're decent in B1! Which is one of the B vitamins harder to get on paleo (lean pork is a great source, but we all like fatty pork better!)

I don't eat white potatoes or pork, so I guess I should keep the macadamia nuts to up my B1 level then :)

Hazelnuts are a much better deal if you can get them. I buy mine at Trader Joe's for like $5 a pound (16 ounces) which is a lot cheaper than macadamia nuts. Plus they have basically the same fatty acid profile but with a lot more vitamins and minerals. Plus I like the taste better, specially since I like to roast them for a little bit on my cast iron skillet to enhance the nutty flavor.

Apart from the taste they don't have anything you cant get anywhere else, although good source of B1.

If you eat them make sure to chew until they become a paste in your mouth, this way you get the best creamy flavour and you don't end up crapping out undigested chunks of money.
