How do you eat your liverwurst?

Do you just eat it straight? I've been putting it on a gluten-free cracker with salsa and sometimes avocado on top.

Yep, this. I fry mine in Kerrygold. Better than sausages and great with soft-scrambled eggs.

I like it so much that I eat it straight, for lunch, maybe with a vegetable or guacamole on the side.

Right now I eat it straight. When I was a kid, my mom used to make me liverwurst sandwiches that were basically liverwurst on white bread topped with dill relish. Was really tasty. Perhaps liverwurst on a gluten free cracker with a little dill relish instead?

I had a hard time eating liverwurst until I was at a dinner party where they served pate with a raspberry sauce. That's when I figured out that fruits go really well with liver. I usually eat liverwurst on a rice cracker with blueberries, raspberries or blackberries on top. Sometimes, I'll have a little slice of cheese as well, but non-dairy folks might not go for that option.

I just had liverwurst for the first time yesterday. I had it with a little saurkraut on a slice of salami. so yummy!

When I have pate, I put it on slices of cucumber or carrot (assuming I can find a fat enough carrot) with a little of this amazing chipotle-bacon jam I found at the farmers market. (this recipe looks similar http://homesicktexan.blogspot.com/2009/09/bacon-jam-recipe-make-it-at-home.html)

I eat it straight, with a fork. I buy it from US Wellness Meats. I think it's great- very mild. The taste is reminiscent of deli roast beef.
