Is fructose from fruit bad for the liver?

i have liver disease and i'm attempting a low carb diet to reverse it. the carbiest thing i consume is a sweet potato after working out but i've been craving fruit and shit like that.

If you have a pre-existing condition, yes fruit is probably doing more harm than good. I would avoid it. Fructose is fructose. If you didn't have ANY health issues, then I'd recommend eating fruit. Otherwise, it's not going to improve your health.

Whole foods are more than their single nutrient constituents. Fructose gets balanced out by beneficial compounds. Sure, minimize fructose if you've got liver issues. Some fruit is better than others when it comes to fructose content.
