Be careful of combining certain other habits with the nude mags, that is shown to lower T.

Yes, ben, if you could recommend *specific* nude mags, that would help!! :-)

Legit advice. Perhaps boosting testosterone would help the OP too. The lifting itself will boost T, but boosting it in addition to that with lots nude magazines etc may help.

Both probably work, LeanGains is probably healthier and more sustainable in the medium/long term. Works well for me.

When you say exercise a lot, what do you mean? Lots of cardio? Are you lifting weights?

To depart the awful land of skinny-fat, I recommend you focus on building some quality muscle. The most effective--though certainly not the only!--way of doing that includes a few key pieces:

(1) Lift hard and heavy but not (very) often. A regime of 3 days/week of heavy lifts that include squats, deadlifts, bench presses, overhead presses, pull ups, and dips would be most welcome. A bit of sprinting could help too.

(2) The raw number of calories you eat must be sufficient. So must the amount of protein. If you aren't gaining, under-eating is a strong possible explanation why.

(3) Post-workout starch--e.g. sweet potatoes, bananas, squashes--is very important and effective at replenishing your fuel and building muscle. Zero carb on lifting days is likely a very bad idea. Low carb on rest days is probably fine.

(4) Sleep at least 8 hrs per night. Inadequate sleep will absolutely sabotage results.

Good luck!

Nick - Here is a link to an article that appeared on T-Nation in January. It's worth a read.

"11 Training Tips for the Skinny Fat Ectomorph" by Anthony Mychal ??? 1/05/2012

Of course, diet plays a huge role. I am currently experimenting with Leangains style carb cycling and seeing some good results, plus I feel great.
