I am an athlete (basketball player) currently on the paleo diet. I am looking to lean out, but feel as if I will not get enough energy if I take both fruits and nuts out of my diet. Which of the two if taken out would yield better results for... (more)
nuts are far more calorie dense than fruit. take the nuts out, keep the fruit. it's VLC mythos that fruit will magically prevent fat loss. energy balance will always rule, even if people are too stupid to believe it.
I'm curious what did the trick for YOU ladies (or male friend who have helped a lady-friend through this problem). I've been eating Paleo over a year, strength training 3x a week since October, then started carb backloading for New Years,... (more)

We've all heard and seen stories of people being fat and becoming leaner on Paleo diet. What about the reverse? Is there anyone out there who's gone from "skinny thin" to "lean thin" purely by eating paleo? I'd really love to see if so.... (more)
I recently started counting macros (a few days ago actually) and have been hitting them since. I eat whole foods, non of the Pop Tart IIFYM stuff. I am not fully Paleo as I consume SPROUTED grains and legumes. I don't eat gluten, fake sugars,... (more)

Meat, animal fat, eggs, sweet potato, potato, olives/oil, avocados, coconut, nuts (macadamia has the best qualities and highest in calories). Basically high fat and starchy carbs are your best bet on the paleo diet.

Hello everyone, I am wondering why the paleolithic diet, in many cases, promotes lean meats over fater alternatives. Hasn??t the research that been made on our evolution proven that hunter-gatherers consumed all bits and pieces of the animal. From... (more)
It doesn't. Fattier cuts of grassfed/organic meats, leaner cuts of conventional meats. High fat organ meats are also popular.

For leaning out purposes, why is it better to keep heartrate at65-75%' rather than higher for the duration of cardio? If you aren't consuming carbs won't it be fat that is burned anyway? Thanks peeps:)
