My left knee has been giving me a bit of grief for a while now. It's not painful as such, it is just discomforting and unnerving as hell. What's worse it is preventing me from performing squats etc with 100% confidence so obviously my training is suffering as well.
I have mentioned it to a doctor and various people in the physio industry but all responses have been vague attempts to fob me off.
I took this quick video which should help demonstrate:
I also have issues such as:
- walking downstairs (especially in mornings) my left knee tends to click LOUDLY
- If I lie on my back and straighten and raise my leg, it will often be accompanied by a significant click in the kneecap area
- sometimes when squatting i get knee crunching sounds etc
- when squatting, once I reach about parallel the sensation can feel similar to a bone (or most probably ligament) popping out of place.
Does this sound familiar to anyone, and has anyone got any suggestions as to what course of action would be appropriate?
