Starved for Attention

So basically, this is a petition from Doctors Without Borders for higher quality food for food assistance projects. They argue that the "cereal based fortified flours" being provided now are not supplying the nutritional value malnourished children need. They argue that these kids need adequate protein and fats for proper nourishment.

edit: from the website "Many families simply cannot afford to provide nutritious food???particularly animal source foods such as milk, meat, and eggs???that their young children need to grow and thrive. Instead, they struggle to survive???far from the media spotlight???on a diet of little more than cereal porridges of maize or rice, amounting to the equivalent of bread and water." They're not asking for money, just a signature.

Since we are fortunate enough to be able to choose our diets according to what we feel are the best requirements for ourselves, can't we help Doctors Without Borders get some signatures here and help someone else avoid having to eat "cereal based fortified flours"?

Is that a recent change, Senneth? I seem to recall something about Catholics urging people not to donate several years ago because they *did* provide contraceptive and abortion services.

I'm sure they'd love to, but everything costs $$$.

I will sign if Doctors without borders will also start bringing along birth control, so that people who have no money to feed themselves, let alone their kids, will quit having more starving children. Sorry Soapbox.
