Mental Fog Fix?

Hi there - I've been eating about 80% paleo for six months and the last month has been 100% (Whole30). My body's feeling good, but I notice that I'm a lot ditzy-er that I used to be. I'm not claiming to never have been ditzy, but this is much more annoying to myself! :-)

Does this mean I'm in ketosis? I'd like to get back to my quick-thinking days - should I increase my carb intake a bit? Or, do you have any other recommendations?

Took me a few months (about 3) to fully adapt to less carbs. Before that, it was a mix of mostly feeling good, but sometimes feeling a bit light headed if I went too long between meals. I suspect (maybe) it took a while for my insulin levels to drop to more appropriate amounts for what I was eating.

Easy experiment: When you feel ditzy, eat a piece of fruit (say an apple). Does the fog lift? Feeling less ditzy? If so, maybe up the carbs a little for a while. Unless you are titrating your blood sugar or need to lose a lot of weight - then just stick it out and it should get better.

What is your carb intake? You might be going through the "low carb flu". MDA wrote a pretty good article about it here:

If you are really 100% removing Gluten from your diet, sugar, etc. You could also aside from the Low Carb Flu, I experienced symptoms of Candida overgrowth. When the yeast starts to really die off, you get some weird symptoms also...fogginess is one of those symptoms.
