I am sure this has been asked but after searching could not find it so please dont blast me for this. Went on vacation and went off the reservation in terms of diet (and paid dearly for it I might add) but was wondering how long it takes the body to return to VLC or ketotic state after ingesting simple sugars and/or grains etc? Just wondering what the window is for getting back to what had become normal for me. Wont be doing that again, ugh.

They say it takes at least 15 days to clear gluten and its effects from your system, sugar should be quicker, so I'd say at least 2 wks as long as you are back on track.
I would imagine that you could get back into a ketonic state within a few days, lots of water and back to VLC and some short bursts of IF probably wouldnt hurt.
No worries, at least you are aware of how it made you feel and getting back on track!!
