Fasting benefits on ketogenic diet

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone could provide a direct answer to a question I've had for a while. If I have a ketogenic lifestyle, and if I go on a water fast will I not have to go through the induction phase (that takes 1-4 days)? Will my body start benefitting immediately from the water fast on the same day it begins?

Thanks a bunch:)

Generally restricting carbs is the one way of getting into ketosis but the fasting is one of the alternatives to it. While using fasting to get into ketosis, it allows for non-caloric liquids. It takes eight hours to up to three days for your body to enter ketosis.

Once your entire body enters ketosis, you also start  to lose muscles, become very exhausted, and finally enter starvation mode. Then it actually becomes even tougher to lose weight,”

One of experts of nutrition says  he doesn’t believe the keto bcoz it  causes muscle loss. He did caution it’s not ideal for someone trying to increase muscle.
