This is one of the most unfortunate allergies for one of us to have, but alas, I can't even use most soaps, and a few tbsps of shredded coconut or the oil cause a mouth reaction that I'm sure is occurring all the way through.
What's the next best ketogenic fat source that I should pursue? I already eat a lot of eggs and butter. Should I pad my diet with avocados and heavy cream?

Grassfed Ground Beef. if you talk to your butcher, you can get pretty much any mix you want here % wise. (get him to blend in the liver/heart/glands too if you dont eat them separately.)
Heavy Cream. Preferably Raw, from Grassfed Cows.
Palm Oil? dont know if this hits you like Coconut.
RAW Olive Oil, (dont cook with it) make sure its 100% olive oil and not a bastardized soy mixture.
Tallow, Lard, Suet. Animal Fats are great to cook with.
Fatty Fish. Mmm Salmon.
Macadamia Nuts/Oil, (one of the safest nuts IMO.)

I'm mildly allergic to coconut oil, when I use, let's say, a tbsp. for cooking, I get a tingle in my throat and a very mild asthma attack. Last night I used a little too much and I got fever like symptoms and a pretty serious asthma attack.

Yss I am allergic to coconut, however my reaction is migraines, not rashes. It has something to do with the antigens in it - same as a few other things. It's unfortunate because the health benefits of coconut are many.

Yes, include avocados, you'll have to experiment with heavy cream to know if the dairy is problematic. Other fat sources are fats from naturally raised animals - poultry fat, lard from pigs, and tallow from beef. Make absolutely certain the animals are grass-fed, pastured, to be sure you're not ingesting hormones or antibiotics.
