I will posit that 14% bodyfat is a rather unnatural state for a female. She's already stressing herself to get where she is, going lower is going to be even more difficult. Some people handle carbs well & jketosis is not necessary or advisable for everyone....she's not a smaller & cuter version of you.....she's substanially different & needs a different fuel stream. Ketosis may work for her checkout

she is by no means an athelete but she's done the keto thing on herself long term & shares the data / experince

Give her some sweet potatoes, potatoes, rice, fruit hell anything with carbs. Not everyone does well on high fats

Most people who feel shitty on Ketosis aren't doing it for long enough. What your girlfriend is experiencing is the glycolysis -> ketosis shift, which is uncomfortable for pretty much everyone first time around.

Most people on Keto do it once, experience side effects and never do it again and claim "Keto failed me." If you can push through the uncomfortable side-effects, you will never go through them again next time you go into deep ketosis.

She is about 14 percent body fat and does powerlifting 2-3 times a week and does an hour of fasted walking in the mornings.

She had a six pack, not chiseled but definitely noticeable abs and is lean. She wants to see how lean she can get and as i just tarted keto to experiment for weight loss she decided to join me. She is on a reload week this week and then a rest week next week which she does after every cycle of training.

I have advised her to do a reefed every third day day where as I will be doing 2 every on staurdays and sundays, ala anabolic diet.

Yup, there's some research (or perhaps bro-science) saying that ketosis isn't very compatible with the ladies. Of course, if you take Nora Gedgaudas as an example, she'll tell you that's false. YMMV.

How long has she been doing keto? If she's gone longer than a week and adding in more fats and using coconut oil/MCT oil as a crutch didn't work, she should back off and go back to eating carbs.

Also, never do VLC and IF at the same time, if you're (or she is) an endurance athlete, higher carb is required so attempting to stay in ketosis isn't a good thing to do.
