What the heck is a jerky gun?

I'm researching food dehydrators right now, and one offers a "jerky gun" as an accessory, but no description is listed of this mysterious device. It looks a little like a caulking gun.

I got one with mine, it is as you say. Works with ground meat. I used it once found it a PITA to clean and sent it to the kitchen gadget oblivion cabinet.

Yep. It's an extruder so you can use ground meat instead of whole muscle to make jerky. I don't like that kind but if you do the gun is a fabulous accessory to have.

Ah, that makes much more sense than the aggressive spice delivery system I had been imagining.

It's what you use to slip organs into your wife's chili.

I have one. If you are going to get one, get the longest one. It is a pain to keep filling the meat in! Mine is from amazon. I can't find the one that I got, but mine is extra long.
