Iodine vs Iodide

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to try supplementing iodine/iodide with selenium to fix my thyroid, because I believe I am hypothyroid. I want to try a conservative dose to see if my symptoms improve.

I will be seeing a doctor about it within a month, but I'd like to see if my cold hands/feet improve while I wait.

Is Iodine or Iodide better? I have pure iodine but I read that lugol's is better so I was thinking about ordering that instead.

Thanks

Red flag: mention of "detoxing".

Can you provide more information/sources on that? It goes against what, https://docs.google.com/document/d/139Xa8u8kgNVT-K17TxYvsM7qsSfusxyvloIXWbU92rg/edit?pli=1, that says. I found it on MDA

Elemental iodine and triiodide (Lugols) are toxic. Iodide is going to be safer. Better yet, just stick to real food sources. Try some sea vegetables.
