Introduction!

Hi everyone,

My name is Sara, and I'm not new to the concept of Paleo, but I am new to actually trying it.

I'm not sure where I first came across Paleo, but I've read tons about it. While I don't agree with every single one of the "rules" of Paleo (and apparently neither do the practitioners...everyone has a different opinion about what is allowed in small doses or not at all), I believe in the core tenets and their ability to help my situation, once I get my butt in gear.

I am closer to 300 lbs than I would like to admit, have PCOS, am insulin resistant, and have some leg issues. My biggest challenges are that I don't like to cook, will cook using my crockpot and freeze individual portions then not want it later, and have gotten out of the habit of exercising consistently due to my leg issues.

I'm trying now to crockpot meats and meats only, as those have tasted the best reheated compared to the other things I've crockpotted. I'm also using Gym Pact.

Thanks! I will have to move that book to the top of my reading list. I actually own it...bought it through one of the bundle sales, just haven't made my way to it yet.

I agree about freezing crockpot foods and never going back to them so I rarely do it. It is easier to fry some bacon and eggs and have a fresh meal or freeze some hamburgers and broil them as needed. One thing that I like a lot is chili in the crockpot, which I don't mind defrosting and eating later on.
