Indeed. That is one of its strengths, though that it is a broad church and people can find what works for them. There is certainly research on sugar addicts and over eaters that unless they remove the addictive foods from their diet it is indeed not their fault that they need that addictive substance to get the sugar hit, as strongly as cocaine and alcohol have their effect.

Now it's getting interesting. Are you saying that the work of Dr Friedman proves that we do not have conscious control over our body composition? I mean if we are all fools because we believe that we can, thru diet/exercise/lifestyle changes effect our weight is it a proven fact that we can not?

SCIENCE SHOWS US THAT VOLUNTARY FACTORS DO NOT- DO NOT AFFECT BODY WEIGHT MUCH AT ALL OVER THE VERY LON GTERM BODY WEIGHT IS UNCONSCIOULY REGULATED LIKE BREATHING IS. THE AMOUNT OF CONTROL YOU HAVE IS VERY LITTLE AND LIMITED. ALL WE CAN DO LOOOONG TERM IS STAY ABOUT 10 POUNDS LESS- LOOONG TER,M MUCH BEYOND THAT IS NOT UNDER OUR CONTROL - LOOONG TERM' THE ROBUST SYSTEM THAT CONTROLS BODY WEIGHT INVOLUNTARILY HAS- HAS-HAS BEEN INDENTIFED BY SCIENCE. DO SOME PROPER RESEARCH AND IGNORE SISSON

You beat me to it. A little searching shows that Dr Friedman is a smart guy who wound up discovering Leptin and what it does. The problem is he jumps the shark after that saying that you have no control over weight or body composition. Going so far on many occasions to tell someone who is morbidly obese that it's not their fault. I could not find a direct reference to it but you do the impression that Dr Friedman is looking for a DRUG solution to obesity and has no interest in health or overall well being of the subjects he works with.

My blog is FAR BETTER QUALITY than Sisson and Colpo.

Yes, it is RANDOM. It is about ANYTHING INTERESTING. I do not have a THEME.

I never said it was a Paleolithic Blog. I stay away from Internet guru topics.

RANDOM OR NOT THE INFO IS TOP QUALITY.

Since I basically agree with the comments about paleo charlatanism I took a look at the blog. Everything is free, but everything is also highly random. Indian spider man, aliens, views on science, and the recent paleo stuff....I wonder what's next, but I'm not in a hurry to go back to find out...

There's a lot more to look in to, Razwell. There's an element to paleo that originates with Atkins and connects with his ideas about ketosis. This anti-carb tone has nothing to do with what ancestral diet was, and freely uses modern fatty foods like fish oil, butter and bacon as if these are foods that paleos ate ad libitum. I think paleo is the Harvard of diets, because it's so open to multiple correct interpretations. But this also opens it up to hucksters hunting for their piece of Atkins pie.

In the spirit of randomness, I have a handbill hanging my the bathroom for The Charlatans, performing on the exact day of my 13th birthday. Dan Hicks is front and center, all duded up and holding a Winchester. This makes perfect sense if you spent any time on the west coast in the 1960's. If not you can settle for the Coen's film A Serious Man.

That is NOT me you fool. HAHAHAHAHAHA1!

That is probably some guy from bodybuilding.com I could have sworn I saw somethng like this in the past attributing that picture to Razwell. hmmm

Obesity has NOTHING AT ALL to do with "personal responsibility". DR. DOUGLAS COLEMAN DEBUNKED THAT BACK IN THE 1980's.
